It’s a new semester and a new season!  We started CGA back up a couple of weeks ago and it’s been CRAZY! Summer at Adventures means one thing: camps on camps on camps.

We have training camps for The World Race, Ambassador, Gap Year, and more. Plus Project Searchlights and trainings for leaders. This entire summer, CGA is happening off campus for classes and tracks because there is no space at the office! It’s insane, but it’s so fun! We get to participate in serve teams where we help set up, cook, and clean, training teams where we get to know squads and help to get them ready and on teams for the Race, and more.

I am definitely going to let you all in on what is going on in all of these for me personally, but I feel like I need to start this semester with sharing how last semester ended.

For worship track, we had what we call ‘Celebration Night’, an evening where each of us share something artistic or creative that expresses something we learned about ourselves or the track and we invite friends to come watch! Kind of like an open mic night with all kinds of talent.

As soon as I learned about this opportunity, I knew in my spirit it meant I was going to write a song. Something that scares the socks off of me because I have a hard time believing I’m talented enough to attempt such a feat. Thank the Lord he has put me in a place surrounded by folks who can help a sister out!  I reached out to a good friend of mine, Evan Dias, and wrote and performed a song with him. It was so fun and I  couldn’t have done it without his support and encouragement.

And with that… I feel that  I should share the song and a video of me at Celebration Night with you all.  I am having trouble even typing this because I am a little scared to share this with the world… But here goes nothing!

I Found You

Becca Schibler with Evan Dias

I always knew that there was something missing

I always knew there was something more

I searched this whole world high and low

Wandered the valleys and mountainsides

alone

Without a light to guide me

Then you found me

And showed me how to live with open eyes

your glory surrounds me

your breath has called these bones to come alive

you found me

I always knew that there was a road to find

In the middle of the wasteland

I always knew that there was hope and light

And I knew I’d never find it

alone

Without a light to guide me

Then you found me

And showed me how to live with open eyes

your glory surrounds me

your breath has called these bones to come alive

you found me

(x2)

I always knew that I could be set free

There was more to life than misery

I found you in my suffering

And then you opened up my eyes to see

That you were standing right in front of me

I found you

Then you found me

And showed me how to live with open eyes

your glory surrounds me

your breath has called these bones to come alive

you found me
