Hello, friends and family!
As many of you know, this last year I was traveling with Adventures in Missions on The World Race. I traveled to 11 countries, a different one every month between January and November. I got home just before Thanksgiving and I’ve been enjoying time seeing friends and family, resting in the peace and comfort of home. But, it’s not for long. I’m soaking in as much as I can while I’m here.
This last year completely wrecked my life for the Lord. He showed up in every way I could imagine and in ways I could haven never dreamed of. I discovered that all you need to do is make room for God and he will reveal himself. I found that living a life by faith and full of prayer, I could find more joy, excitement, and love in everyday life than I ever have before. Letting the Lord take the weight of the world off my shoulders taught me to focus on who He created me to be and not on who I think the people around me want me to be. I became a new person, a woman created by a king with purpose. I learned how to accept love, how to love those around me, how to be who I made to be, the weight our words carry, the power of prayer, and so much more. The World Race taught me to firmly root my identity in the Lord and to let Him lead me in my life in the purpose He created me for.

While in Thailand in September, I started to wonder what was next for me when I got home. I had no plans, no ideas, and I was starting to worry… So I asked the Lord what he had planned and slowly but surely, he let me in on it.
I started to hear a lot about CGA, or Center For Global Action. It’s a program run by Adventures In Missions for alumni racers that puts them back into a community, provides discipleship, and an apprenticeship. I didn’t really know anything about it, but I had multiple friends mention it to me as something they could see me pursuing, and so I checked it out online and asked for an informational call. I received and it ended with an interview for the January 2016 semester! As I talked with the informational person on the phone, everything she talked about was exactly what I felt like I was looking for. The program offers a close-knit community to live with and be encouraged and challenged by, an apprenticeship in my area of interest geared towards helping me figure out what’s next, and provides discipleship from the amazing staff at AIM.

I am so excited to start this new adventure that God is leading my on, but I can’t do it without you! Your continued support and prayer are more than appreciated! I need to raise $2000 by the end of January and continue to raise around $1000 per month until I reach a total of $7,450 for my two 4-month semesters at CGA in Gainesville, GA at the AIM base.
My new blog is located at rebeccaschibler.adventurescga.org and the ‘Support Me’ tab is on the left-hand side of the page.
If you donate $10, I’ll send a handmade bracelet your way that I will pray over as I make it for you! Send any prayer requests my way as I would love to be praying for all of you!
God bless and thank you for your continued support!!
